Secret Wars 7 is finally out and it is freaking awesome! Hickman’s writing and Esad Ribic’s art shine as we find out what happens as the army of The Prophet arrives at Doom’s doorstep, and the results of some of the tie-in books have serious repercussions for God-Emperor Doom! We also jump into the first issues of three of the amazing All-New All-Different titles: Invincible Iron-Man, in which Tony goes on a date and runs into a surprise in Latveria. Extraordinary X-Men in which it kinda sucks to be a mutant (what else is new?). And finally Guardians of the Galaxy, in which Kitty Pryde is the new Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon is a smartass and Peter Quill is bored off his ass!

Yeah, we know we released episode 11 after episode 12. But it’s our show, so if you don’t like it, do like comic fans do an complain loudly on the internet! This episode is a bit longer than our usual episodes, but we make up for it with tons of explosions, cool sound effects, and general awesomeness. We cover fan-favorite MODOK Assassin with issue #5, finishing that series off and we find out what happens with the star-crossed lovers, MODOK and Lady-Thor! We also find out the fate of Arcadia with A-Force #4 and #5, and find out what happens when the traitor of A-Force is caught! (Spoiler alert: Awesome super-heroine fights, that’s what) We also check out Avengers #0, which is a prequel to all of the new Avengers books coming out in 2015/2016 for the All-New All-Different Marvel lineup! Enjoy the show!
In this episode of Comic Noobs, the guys are so pumped about the upcoming Netflix series Jessica Jones that we released the episodes out of order so we could cover the first five issues of ALIAS, which is the first book to feature Jessica Jones. In this story, Jessica Jones, former superhero and current Private Investigator, goes on a job only to find herself at the center of a massive conspiracy, involving sordid affairs, murder, and political intrigue. This should also be a taste of what we can expect from the new Jessica Jones series! ALIAS is written by Brian Michael Bendis (Old Man Logan, Invincible Iron Man) with art by Michael Gaydos.
Kevin and Sobie invade someone else’s online space and jump into the Human Echoes Podcast with Al and Tony to review Blade and talk about comic books. Then they discuss the recent report of human DNA being found in hot dogs, and wonder where it could have come from.
Watch it here:
Welcome to Episode X, which is kind of like Weapon X, but less murder-y. In this episode we continue with Marguerite Bennett and G. Willow Wilson’s A-Force (#3), in which we discover what the hell is going on in Arcadia. We also do two more issues of MODOK Assassin (#3 and #4) by Christopher Yost, in which we actually do get a bit murder-y, and MODOK and Lady Thor figure out what is happening in Killville. We also finish up Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde with the final issue (#3), and then hit the flashback time-travel issue with Uncanny X-Men #59, in which Cyclops out-logics giant mutant-killing logic machines!
